Hancunhe Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Fangshan District, Beijing, is located in east longitude 115°45′44″~115°58′55″, north latitude 39°33′35″~39°42′22″. Situated in the southwestern part of Fangshan District, it is adjacent to Liulihe Town in the east and Changgou Town in the south and Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province, bordering on Xiyanghutun Village, Xixianpo Village and Shangzhuang Village in the south, connected with Dashiwu Town in the southwest and Zhangfang Town and Xiayunling Township in the west, adjacent to Zhoukoudian Town in the north, and bordering on Shilou Town in the northeast. The town area is 100.8 square kilometers.
In 1956, Hancunhe Township belonged to Xidong, Wuhou, Shengshuiyu and Lushankou Townships. 1958, it belonged to Zhaogezhuang, Tiankai and Wuhou Townships. 1960, it belonged to Wuhou, Tiankai and Zhaogezhuang People's Commune of Fangshan County. 1964, Wuhou and Tiankai Communes were merged into Yuegezhuang People's Commune. 1981, Zhaogezhuang People's Commune was changed to Dongying People's Commune. 1983, it belonged to Yuegezhuang and Dongying Townships. 1986, it belonged to Yuegezhuang and Dongying Townships. 1986, it belonged to Zhangfang Township in the west and Xiayunling Township in the north. In 1986, it belonged to Fangshan District.In 1999, Dongying Township was changed to Hancunhe Township.In 2001, Yuegezhuang Township was incorporated. As of the end of 2018, there were 42,208 people with household registration in Hancunhe Town. As of October 2019, there are 1 community and 27 administrative villages under the jurisdiction of Hancunhe Town, and the town government is located at No. 28 Yue Li Road, Hancunhe Town.
In 2011, the total industrial output value of Hancunhe Town reached 560 million yuan, an increase of 4.2% over the previous year, with a total profit of 75.86 million yuan and an industrial added value of 200 million yuan.
