Puwa Township, a township under the jurisdiction of Fangshan District, Beijing, is located between longitude 115°25′06″~115°34′20″ East and latitude 39°41′32″~39°47′51″ North. It is located in the western part of Fangshan District, adjacent to Xiayunling Township and Shidu Township in the east, connected to Shidu Township in the south, neighboring with Magezhuang Village of Laishui County in Hebei Province in the west, and bordering with Nanbianqiao Village of Laishui County in Hebei Province in the north. The area of the township is 95.85 square kilometers. In the fifth year of the Republic of China (1916), Puwa area belonged to the eighth district of Fangshan County.In 1949, it belonged to the second district of Fangshan County.In 1954, it belonged to the five townships of Puwa, Yiho, Dongcun, Baoshui, and Luzishui.In 1958, it belonged to the management area of Puwa of Ma'an People's Commune of Zhoukoudian District.In 1961, it belonged to the Puwa People's Commune of Fangshan County.In 1983, the commune was changed to a township.In 1986, it belonged to Fangshan District. As of the end of 2018, Puwa Township had a household population of 4,497. As of October 2019, there are 8 administrative villages under the jurisdiction of Puwa Township, with the township government located in Puwa Village. In 2011, the total industrial output value of Puwa Township was 1.4 million yuan, an increase of 14.3% over the previous year. Total financial income of 5.16 million yuan, an increase of 13.4% over the previous year, of which 2.676 million yuan of local financial income, an increase of 16% over the previous year. Completed tax 5.158 million yuan, an increase of 13.4% over the previous year. From the point of view of each major tax, the completion of sales tax 4.571 million yuan, an increase of 11% over the previous year; value-added tax 38,000 yuan, a decrease of 21% over the previous year; corporate income tax 38,000 yuan, a decrease of 40% over the previous year.
