Doudian Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Fangshan District, Beijing, is located in east longitude 116°00′31″~116°10′34″, north latitude 39°36′33″~39°4′36″. Located in the southeastern part of Fangshan District, it is adjacent to Changyang Town in the east, Liulihe Town in the south, Shilou Town in the west, Chengguan Street in the northwest, and Yan Village Town and Liangxiang Town in the north. The town area is 65.34 square kilometers.
In 1956, Doudian Town belonged to Liangxiang County Doudian Hui Min Autonomous Township, Jiaodao Township. 1958, belonged to Zhoukoudian District Liulihe People's Commune Doudian Management Area, Jiaodao Management Area. 1960, belonged to Fangshan County. 1961, belonged to the Doudian People's Commune, Jiaodao People's Commune. 1983, the commune was changed to the township. 1989, Doudian Township was changed to the township. 2001, Jiaodao Township was merged into the township, forming the present-day jurisdictional area. As of late 2018, Doudian Township had a household population of 48,350. As of October 2019, Doudian Town has 11 communities and 30 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, with the town government stationed at No. 6, North District 1, Doudian Village.
In 2011, the total industrial output value of Doudian Town reached 1.62 billion yuan, a decrease of 5.2% from the previous year, with a total profit of 137.988 million yuan, and an industrial added value of 460 million yuan, which accounted for 15.2% of the GDP.
