Hebei Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Fangshan District, Beijing, is located between longitude 115°53'50"~116°00'21" east and latitude 39°45'34"~39°52'31" north. It is located in the north of Fangshan District, bordering Qinglonghu Town in the east, Dongfeng Street in the south, Xiangyang Street in the southwest, Fozizhuang Township in the west, and Tanzhe Temple Town in Mentougou District in the north. The town area is 67.8 square kilometers.
In the fifth year of the Republic of China (1916), Hebei Township belonged to the fourth district of Fangshan County. At the early stage of the establishment of New China, it belonged to eight districts of Fangshan County, and in 1952, it belonged to Hebei District of Beijing West Mining Area, and in 1953, it set up Hebei Township, and in 1956, Henan Township was merged into it, and in 1958, it was assigned to Zhoukoudian District, and the townships and the Huaguoshan and Baifuashan People's Communes were merged to set up Hebei People's Commune. 1960, it belonged to Fangshan County, and it set up Hebei Township, and in 1963, it was converted into a township and in 1964, it was converted into a People's Commune. In 1980, the Hebei People's Commune was established as the Beijing Mining Bureau Industrial and Agricultural District Office.In 1983, the commune was changed to a township.In 1986, it belonged to Fangshan District.In 1989, the Hebei Township was changed to a town.In 1992, the Beijing Mining Bureau Industrial and Agricultural District Office was abolished, and it was transferred to Fangshan District. As of the end of 2018, Hebei Township has a household population of 23,443. As of October 2019, Hebei Township has 3 communities and 19 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, with the township government stationed at 10 Shengquan Street in Hebei Village.
