Changyang Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Fangshan District, Beijing, is located between longitude 116°09′03″~116°14′50″ East and latitude 39°37′59″~39°49′29″ North. It is located in the east of Fangshan District, bordering Daxing District on the east across Yongding River, neighboring Doudian Town on the southeast, connecting with Liulihe Town on the south, neighboring Liangxiang Town and Gongchen Street on the west, and adjoining Fengtai District on the north. The town area is 91.3 square kilometers.
During the Western Han Dynasty and Northern and Southern Dynasties and Northern Qi Dynasties, Changyang Town belonged to Guangyang County. In 1916, it belonged to the eighth north district of Liangxiang County, and in 1958, it belonged to the Beijing Municipal Farm Bureau, and in 1961, it belonged to the Changyang and Hulufa Communes of Fangshan County, and in 1966, the Hulufa People's Commune was merged into the Changyang People's Commune, and in 1968, the Hulufa People's Commune was separated from the Changyang People's Commune, and in 1971, it was transformed into the Sino-Cambodian Friendship People's Commune. In 1983, the commune was transformed into Changyang Township and Hulufa Township.In 1986, it was part of Fangshan District.In 1989, the township was transformed into a town.In 1998, Changyang Farm was merged into Changyang Township.In 2001, Hulufa Township was merged into Changyang Township, which formed the present-day jurisdiction. As of the end of 2018, Changyang Town has a registered population of 61,870. As of October 2019, Changyang Township has 24 communities and 36 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, with the township government located in the north of Changying Village.
