Xiayunling Township, a township under the jurisdiction of Fangshan District, Beijing, is located between longitude 115°32′56″~115°49′08″ East and latitude 39°41′03″~39°49′15″ North. It is located in the deep mountainous area in the northwest of Fangshan District, bordering with Nanjiao Township, Zhoukoudian Township and Hancunhe Township in the east, Zhangfang Township and Shidu Township in the south, Beibianqiao of Laishui County in Hebei Province in the west, and Shijiaying Township, Fozizhuang Township and Qingshui Township of Mentougou District in the north. The area of the township is 220 square kilometers. During the Kangxi period of Qing Dynasty, Xiayunling area belonged to Shenning Township. In the fifth year of the Republic of China (1916), it belonged to the ninth district of Fangshan County. In the twenty-seventh year of the Republic of China (1938), it belonged to the first district of Fangliang Joint County. Republic of China thirty years (1941), belongs to the room Lotus Zhuo joint county nine districts. In 1944, it belonged to nine districts of Fangshan County. 1949, it belonged to one district of Fangshan County. 1950, it belonged to six districts of Fangshan County. 1954, it belonged to 10 townships of Longmendai, Zhantutai, Simatai, Sanliushui, Xiayunling, Shibantai, Shibanhai, Shangshibao, Shibanhai, Dachaoling, Beizhihe. 1956, it belonged to six townships of Dangsang, Longmendai, Xiayunling, Shibanhai, Beizhihe, Shibanhai. In 1958, it belonged to the 3 townships of Shimashibao, Xiayunling and Longmentai; in the same year, it was assigned to Zhoukoudian District, and Xiayunling People's Commune was set up. 1961, it belonged to Fangshan County. 1983, the commune was changed to a township. 1986, it belonged to Fangshan District. As of the end of 2018, Xiayunling Township has a registered population of 10,696. As of 2019, Xiayunling Township has 15 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, with the township government residing in Xiayunling Village, Xiayunling Township. In 2011, the total industrial output value of Xiayunling Township was 333,000 yuan. Local financial income of 5.082 million yuan, 2.4% less than the previous year.
