Yancun Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Fangshan District, Beijing, is located in east longitude 116°01′06″~116°07′49″, north latitude 39°40′08″~39°44′49″. Located in the eastern part of Fangshan District, it is connected with Xilu Street and Liangxiang Town in the east, adjacent to Doudian Town in the south, bordering Chengguan Town in the west and Qinglonghu Town in the north. The town area is 48.5 square kilometers. In 1956, Yan village town belongs to liangxiang county small dongcun township, big thirteen li township. 1958, belongs to liangxiang county big zicao wu township. 1960, belongs to zicao wu management area of zhoukoudian district liangxiang people's commune. 1961, belongs to the fangshan county zicao wu people's commune. 1963, set up the big zicao wu township. 1968, the new township merged with the big zicao wu people's commune. 1983, commune to the purple grass wu township.
