Da'anshan Township, a township under the jurisdiction of Fangshan District, Beijing, is located between longitude 115°42′49″~115°50′35″ East and latitude 39°50′59″~39°55′27″ North. Located in the northwestern part of Fangshan District, it is neighboring with Fozizhuang Township in the east and south, bordering with Shijiaying Township in the west, and bordering with Zhaitang Township in Mentougou District in the north. The area of the township is 62.29 square kilometers. In the fifth year of the Republic of China (1916), Daanshan area belongs to Fangshan County five districts. 1949, belongs to Fangshan County nine districts. 1952, belongs to the Hebei District of Beijing West Mining Area. 1953, set up Daanshan Township. 1956, Xiyuan Township merged into Daanshan Township. 1958, belongs to the Zhoukoudian District Baifaoshan People's Commune, Daanshan Management Area. 1961, belongs to Fangshan County, set up Daanshan People's Commune. 1980, belongs to Beijing Mining Bureau Industrial and Agricultural Bureau, and is adjacent to Fozizhuang Township in the south and Shijiaying Township in the west. In 1980, it belonged to Beijing Mining Bureau Gongnong District Office.In 1983, the commune was changed to a township.In 1992, the Beijing Mining Bureau Gongnong District Office was abolished and assigned to Fangshan District. As of the end of 2018, Da'anshan Township has a registered population of 8,837.
