Da'anshan Township, a township under the jurisdiction of Fangshan District, Beijing, is located between longitude 115°42′49″~115°50′35″ East and latitude 39°50′59″~39°55′27″ North. Located in the northwestern part of Fangshan District, it is neighboring with Fozizhuang Township in the east and south, bordering with Shijiaying Township in the west, and bordering with Zhaitang Township in Mentougou District in the north. The area of the township is 62.29 square kilometers.
In the fifth year of the Republic of China (1916), Daanshan area belongs to Fangshan County five districts. 1949, belongs to Fangshan County nine districts. 1952, belongs to the Hebei District of Beijing West Mining Area. 1953, set up Daanshan Township. 1956, Xiyuan Township merged into Daanshan Township. 1958, belongs to the Zhoukoudian District Baifaoshan People's Commune, Daanshan Management Area. 1961, belongs to Fangshan County, set up Daanshan People's Commune. 1980, belongs to Beijing Mining Bureau Industrial and Agricultural Bureau, and is adjacent to Fozizhuang Township in the south and Shijiaying Township in the west. In 1980, it belonged to Beijing Mining Bureau Gongnong District Office.In 1983, the commune was changed to a township.In 1992, the Beijing Mining Bureau Gongnong District Office was abolished and assigned to Fangshan District. As of the end of 2018, Da'anshan Township has a registered population of 8,837. As of October 2019, Da'anshan Township has 1 community and 8 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the township government is located in Da'anshan Village, Da'anshan Township.
In 2011, the total industrial output value of Da'anshan Township was 168,000 yuan. Local financial income of 1.755 million yuan, an increase of 3.9% over the previous year. Various taxes amounted to 4.057 million yuan, an increase of 7.2% over the previous year. From the perspective of each major tax, the completion of sales tax 921,000 yuan, 24.5% less than the previous year; value-added tax 1.307 million yuan; corporate income tax 812,000 yuan, an increase of 198% over the previous year.
