Ubon Province (Thai: อุบลราชธานี; English: UbonRatchatani), also known as Ubon Ratchatani, "Lotus City", is the largest province in northeastern Thailand, with a total area of 16,113 square kilometers, and a total population of about one million six hundred thousand people. The border with Laos is 100 kilometers long and the border with Cambodia is 60 kilometers. The Muang River and the Qi River converge 10 kilometers west of the city of Ubon Phuoc and flow eastward into the Mekong River to form the border with Laos.
