Phetchabun (English: Phetchabun; Thai: เพชรบูรณ์) is a province of Thailand, belonging to the Northern Region, with a population of 965,784 (2000) and a land area of 12,668 square kilometers, with Phetchabun as its capital. Thailand now has 75 provinces (changwat) and Bangkok municipality. Geographically, they can be divided into several large regions.
Phetchabun is an old city in Thailand and a worthwhile place to visit in Northern Thailand, such as the Temple of Mahathai and Sithep Historical Park, and its fertile land is favorable for agriculture. The famous fruit is sweet tamarind. There are also various historical and natural attractions such as sweet tamarind city, Nam An National Park, sithep ancient city, KHAOkho Memorial Park, PHOKHUNPHA city.
