Long'an Town, formerly under the neighboring county of Guang'an City, Sichuan Province, is located in the northern part of neighboring county, bordering Sangu Township and Wangjia Township in the east, Guanyinqiao Township and Lengjia Township in the south, Kanko Township in the west, and Taihe Township and Xinchen Township in the north. The area is 54.61 square kilometers, with a household population of 18,516 as of the end of 2018.
In the 14th year of Ming Hongwu (1381), it belonged to Huixianli of Fuxing Township. At the beginning of the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Chang'an Township.In January 1973, it was renamed Long'an Commune.In 1984, the commune was changed to a township.In January 1994, the township was changed to a township.In December 2019, Long'an Township was abolished, and the administrative area it belonged to was transferred to the jurisdiction of Kanko Township.
