Protecting Neighborhood Township, formerly belonging to Neighboring County of Guang'an City, Sichuan Province, is located in the northeast of Neighboring County, bordering Dianjiang County of Chongqing Municipality in the east, Xingren Township in the south, Wangjia Township and Sangu Township in the west, and Sihui Township and Zhanghong Township in Dazhou City, China, in the north. The area is 25.22 square kilometers, with a household population of 13,173 as of the end of 2018. In the thirty-fourth year of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty (1908), the name is Guoxingchang. In the early years of the Republic of China, it was set up as Guoxing Township.In 1958, it was changed to Guoxing Township Commune.In 1984, it was changed to Guoxing Township.In December 2019, Guoxing Township was abolished, and the administrative area it belonged to was transferred to the jurisdiction of Xingren Township. In 2018, there were 4 industrial enterprises and 7 general stores or supermarkets with business area over 50 square meters in Nuoyin Township.
