Dingping Town, belonging to Guangxi County, Guang'an City, Sichuan Province, is the resident of the People's Government of Guangxi County, located in the urban area of Guangxi County, bordering with Chengnan Town in the south and Chenbei Town in the north, with an area of 7.84 square kilometers and a household population of 90,037 as of the end of 2018. In the second year of Ming Chenghua (1466), the city was built as the county seat. At the end of the Ming Dynasty, the county was twice destroyed in wars and twice rebuilt. During the Qianlong, Jiaqing and Xianfeng years of the Qing Dynasty, the county town was repaired and widened three times. In the fourth year of the Republic of China (1915), the name of the town was Chengguan; in April 1956, it was changed to Chengguan Town; in December 1981, it was renamed Dingping Town. As of June 2020, Dingping Town has 25 communities and 10 administrative villages under its jurisdiction. In 2018, there are 46 industrial enterprises in Dingping Town, including 11 above scale, and 131 general stores or supermarkets with business area over 50 square meters.
