Ganba Township, formerly under the neighboring county of Guang'an City, Sichuan Province, is located in the western part of neighboring county, neighboring Mujia Township and Heliu Township in the east, reaching Sihai Township in the south, connecting with Yanghe Township and Xingyao Township of Huayhuash City in the west, and connecting with Xitian Township in the north, with an area of 38.15 square kilometers and a household population of 10,309 as of the end of 2018.
In the 29th year of the Republic of China (1940), it belonged to the 3 townships of Yixie, Hefeng and Mujia.In May 1973, it was renamed Ganba Commune.In 1984, the commune was changed to a township.In December 2019, Ganba Township was abolished, and the administrative area it belonged to was transferred to the jurisdiction of Mujia Township.
