Surat (Thai: สุราษฎร์ธานี; English: ChangwatSuratthani) is the most extensive province in the southern region of Thailand, bordering the Gulf of Thailand, covering an area of approximately 12,800 square kilometers, with the capital located 685 kilometers south of Bangkok. Surat is home to Koh Samui, Thailand's third largest island, a jewel-like archipelago densely surrounded by palm trees, including the stunning 250-square-kilometer Antong National Marine Park.
