Dak Nong Province, also known as Dak Nong Province, is located in the central part of Vietnam, belonging to the Tay Plain, bordered by Doi Lak Province and Cambodia in the north, Lam Dong Province in the south and Binh Phuoc Province in the west, with its capital in Giai. The capital is located in Gia Yai. Dinh Nong Province was originally part of Doi Lac Province, but later Dinh Lac Province was divided into two, becoming Dinh Lac and Dinh Nong Provinces today. The province of Dornong is rich in bauxite. Vietnam's first alumina plant was built in the province's In Chi Industrial Zone, a joint venture with foreign investors.
