Xuan Quang (Vietnamese: Thànhphố Tuyên Quang/City of Xuan Quang) is the capital city of Xuan Quang Province, Vietnam. It is located near the Sino-Vietnamese border and was once an important military fortress, which was captured by the Chinese army during the Sino-French War.
During the Sino-French War, the Chinese army captured the site and the French army held it. During the First Vietnam War, the Vietnamese army under Ho Chi Minh fought against the French army here.
