Vinh Phuc Province (Vietnamese: TỉnhVĩnhPhúc/Humán: Province of Vinh Phuc) is located in the northwestern part of Hanoi City, close to the two major ports of Hai Phong, western part of Phu Thuy, Xuan Quang and Thoi Nguyen provinces, northeastern part of the Economic Development Triangle of Hanoi City and Quang Ninh Province, and western part of the provinces of Yunnan and Guizhou in China, with a total area of 1,231 sq. kilometers. As of 2012 Vinh Phuc province has 9 administrative districts: 2 cities, 7 districts, with a total population of 1020,597.
In 2015, the social and economic upturn continued, with the economy growing by 6.9% year-on-year in 2014. Agricultural forestry and aquaculture products increased by 2.6% year-on-year in 2014; industry increased by 6% year-on-year in 2014; and trade in services increased by 9.6% year-on-year in 2014.
