Hangu Street, belonging to Tianjin Binhai New Area, is located in the northern part of Binhai New Area, east to the eastern border of Hangu Salt Farm, bordering Yangjiapo Town; south to the Jinhan Expressway; west to the Jijie Canal, Fu Bei Street, Hongxia Road, Youyi Road, Dafeng Road, Han Cai Road; north to the northeastern border of Ninghe District and Tangshan City, Hebei Province and Hangu Management District, Bin Tang Highway, bordering with the northwestern border of Yangjiapo Town; a total area of 91.82 square kilometers.
In the 19th year of the Republic of China (1930), set Ninghe County, five districts of Hangu Township; in December 2013, the former Hangu Street and Daitian Town merged into the new Hangu Street. As of June 2020, Hangu Street has 11 communities and 10 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the street office is located at No. 65 Xinkai Middle Road in Guxiangli Community.
In 2016, the gross regional product of Hangu Street amounted to 3.513 billion yuan, an increase of 7.8% year-on-year; fixed asset investment amounted to 3.053 billion yuan, an increase of 11.1% year-on-year.
