Wangdianzi Township, part of Funan County, Fuyang City, Anhui Province, is located in northwestern Funan County, neighboring Chaiji Township to the east, Zhaoji Township to the south, Tupi Township in Linquan County to the west, and Xincun Township to the north. The area is 61.9 square kilometers, with a household population of 57,219 as of the end of 2019.
Before the founding of the People's Republic of China, it belonged to Datianji District of Fuyang County.In April 1952, it was transferred to Funan with Chaiji District. In the same year, Wangdian Township was separated from Tiefosi Township.In 1984, it was changed to Wangdianzi Township.In April 1992, it was set up as Wangdianzi Township. As of June 2020, Wangdianzi Township has 11 administrative villages under its jurisdiction.
