Liugou Town, belonging to Funan County, Fuyang City, Anhui Province, is located in the northwestern part of Funan County, neighboring Jiaopi Town in the east, Miaojie Town in the south, Tianjie Town in the west, and bordering Xutang Township in the north. The area is 45.77 square kilometers, with a household population of 48,449 as of the end of 2019. During the Northern Song Dynasty, it belonged to Jiaopi Town. Before liberation, it belonged to Wanghua District of Fuyang County.In September 1958, it was established as a commune.In March 1984, the society was changed to a township.In September 2002, the township was abolished to set up Liugou Township.In June 2020, Liugou Township has 10 administrative villages under its jurisdiction. In 2019, Liugou Town has 16 industrial enterprises and 43 general stores or supermarkets with business area over 50 square meters.
