The Anhui Linquan Economic Development Zone is a provincial-level development zone established in 2006 with the approval of the Anhui Provincial Government. Located east of Linquan County, it encompasses several villages and neighborhood committees. In January 2013, the provincial government approved the expansion plan for the Linquan Economic Development Zone, known as the “One Zone, Three Parks” initiative, which comprises the Linquan Economic Development Zone, the Quanbei Food Industry Park, the Gacheng Leather Circular Economy Industrial Park, and the Southern Industrial Park.In September 2013, the provincial government approved the renaming of the Anhui Linquan Industrial Park to the Anhui Linquan Economic Development Zone.
The development zone has a total planned area of 31.34 square kilometers, with a near-term planned area of 13.57 square kilometers and a current built-up area of 7.4 square kilometers. The zone focuses on mechanical and electronic manufacturing, deep processing of agricultural by-products, leather processing, and chemical industries, and has essentially formed a relatively complete industrial development structure.
