Xincun Town, belongs to Funan County, Fuyang City, Anhui Province. Located in the northwestern part of Funan County, it borders Chaiji Township in the east, Wangdianzi Township in the south, connects with Tupi Township of Linquan County in the southwest, and is adjacent to Laoji Township of Linquan County in the west, and relies on Mazhai Township of Yingzhou District in the north and Xihu Township of Yingzhou District in the northeast, with a total area of 62.14 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, the household population was 62,649. Before liberation, it belonged to Tianpeng Township of Fuyang County.In 1949, it was transferred to Funan County and established Xincun Township.In 1958, Xincun Commune was established.In 1984, Xincun Township was set up.In 1992, the former Guowa Township, Xincun Township and Tianpeng Township merged to form Xincun Township. As of June 2023, Xincun Township has 3 communities and 8 administrative villages under its jurisdiction. In 2019, Xincun Township had 30 industrial enterprises and 85 general stores or supermarkets with business area over 50 square meters.
