Gao Tai Township, belonging to Funan County, Fuyang City, Anhui Province, is located in the southeastern part of Funan County, bordering Nanzhao Township, Yingshang County in the east, Linshui Township, Huoqiu County, Lu'an City in the south, and Xuqiao Township, Gushi County, Henan Province across the Huaihe River, neighboring Caoji Township in the west, and connecting Zhangzhai Township, Huanggang Township, and Zhonggang Township in the north. The area is 77.82 square kilometers, with a household population of 63,524 as of the end of 2019. Before liberation, it belonged to Huanggang Township, Wanghua District, Fuyang County. After the liberation, it was established as Gao Tai Township, and in September 1958, it was established as a commune, and in 1984, it was changed to a township, and in March 1992, it was re-established as Gao Tai Township. As of June 2020, there are 11 administrative villages under the jurisdiction of Gao Tai Township. In 2019, there are 32 industrial enterprises in GaoTai Township, including 5 above scale, and 81 general stores or supermarkets with business area over 50 square meters.
