Xutang Township, belonging to Funan County, Fuyang City, Anhui Province, is located in the northeastern part of Funan County, neighboring Zhuzhai Town in the east, Jiaopei Town and Liugou Town in the south, adjoining Santaji Town in the west, and bordering with Wangdian Town of Yingzhou District in the north. The area is 71.7 square kilometers, with a household population of 73,388 as of the end of 2019. In the Republic of China, it belongs to Datian District of Fuyang County.In 1949, it was established as Xutang District.In September 1958, it was established as a commune.In March 1984, it was changed to a township.In April 1992, it was established as Xutang Township. As of June 2020, Xutang Township has 15 administrative villages under its jurisdiction. In 2019, Xu Tang Township has 12 industrial enterprises, including 3 above scale, and 122 general stores or supermarkets with business area over 50 square meters.
