Yulong Township is located 24 kilometers south of Yanting County at the confluence of the Zijiang River and Zixi Creek, and is the regional center township bordering the cities of Mianyang and Suining, with a township area of 70.58 square kilometers, and as of October 2022, Yulong Township has jurisdiction over 3 communities, 11 administrative villages, and a total population of 18,910 people (2017).Yulong Township is located at the confluence of the Zijiang River and Zixi Creek, 24 kilometers south of Yanting County.
On December 25, 2019, the People's Government of Sichuan Province on the approval of Mianyang City to adjust the administrative division of some townships (Sichuanfu Civil Affairs [2019] No. 27): the abolition of Huangxi Township, the administrative area under its jurisdiction to the jurisdiction of Yulong Township. After the adjustment, Yulong Township has jurisdiction over the former Huangxi Township and Wangjiang Community, Qilin Community, Feilong Community, Hongshi Village, Zijiang Village, Xinjiagou Village, Baiya Village, Qingya Village, Zhaohong Village, Shuangma Village, Yangxing Village, Xujiaqiao Village, Xianglong Village, Zhoujia Village, Lancao Village, Panlong Village, Zhongling Village, Wufeng Village, Xinghuo Village, and Baohe Village, and the People's Government of Yulong Township is stationed at No. 31 Wangjiang Street.
On July 29, 2020, the National Society for Health Care decided to name Yulong Township as a national health township for the 2017-2019 cycle.
