Chating Township (revoked), formerly under Yanting County, Mianyang City, Sichuan Province, is located in the north of Yanting County. East neighboring Heiping Township, Shiyumiao Township, south of Shuangbei Township, west of Bozi Township, Lailong Township, north of Zitong County, Renhe Township. The township people's government is 25.5 kilometers away from Yanting County. The total area is 45.20 square kilometers.
In May of the 29th year of the Republic of China (1940), it belonged to Chating Bao of Paizi Township.In 1984, the commune was changed to a township. As of the end of 2019, Chating Township had a household population of 7,417. As of October 2019, Chating Township has 1 community and 8 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the township people's government is located at the bottom of Eagle's Beak Hill in Chating Field Township.On December 25, 2019, Lailong Township, Chating Township, and Paizi Township were abolished and Qibe Township was established, with the administrative area belonging to the original Lailong Township, Chating Township, and the former Paizi Township as the administrative area of Qibe Township, and the Qibe Township people's government is stationed at No. 166, Neijiang Street.
