Nanmafang Township, under the jurisdiction of Chaoyang District, Beijing, is located in the southeastern part of Chaoyang District, between 116°27'16"~116°30'41" and 39°51'27"~39°54'17" north latitude. It is adjacent to Gaobeidian Township and Wangsiyang Township to the east, Shibaridian Township to the south, Panjiayuan Street, Jinsong Street and Shuangjing Street to the west, and Baliizhuang Street to the Tonghui River to the north. The area of the township is 9.43 square kilometers.
In 1949, it belonged to the 13th district of Beijing, and in 1958, it belonged to the Happy People's Commune of Chaoyang District.In 1961, Nanmafang People's Commune was established.In July 1983, the commune was changed to a township, and in 1993, a district office was set up. As of the end of 2019, Nanmafang Township had a household population of 63,789. As of June 2020, Nanmofang Township has 17 communities and 2 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, with the township government located at No. 29, A, Xidawang Road, Chaoyang District.In July 2020, Nanmofang Township was awarded the honorary title of National Health Township for the 2017-2019 cycle by the National Health Commission.
In 2011, the total industrial output value of Nanmofang Township reached 200 million yuan, with a total fiscal revenue of 350 million yuan, completing business tax of 0.08 billion yuan, value-added tax of 0.02 billion yuan, and enterprise income tax of 0.06 billion yuan.In 2019, Nanmofang Township has 30 industrial enterprises, of which there are 7 above scale, and 59 general stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters or more.
