Laiguangying Township, a township under the jurisdiction of Chaoyang District, Beijing, is located in the northeastern part of Chaoyang District, between longitude 116°23′56″~116°29′19″E and latitude 39°59′32″~40°03′53″N. It is accompanied by Sunhe Township in the east and Donghu Street and Datun Street in the south, and bordered by Olympic Village Street and Datun Street in the west. It is accompanied by Sunhe Township and Cuigezhuang Township in the east, connected with Donghu Street and Datun Street in the south, bordered by Olympic Village Street and Datun Street in the west, and adjoined by Dongxiaokou Town and Beiqijia Town in the north of Changping District. The total area of the district is 20.93 square kilometers.
During the Ming and Qing dynasties, the area around Laiguangying was a royal hunting ground and military training ground, and belonged to Changping County; after the founding of the PRC, it was reclassified as the 14th District of Beijing and Chaoyang District; in 1953, Laiguangying Township was built; in August 1956, it was merged with other townships to form the Heping People's Commune; in February 1983, Laiguangying Township was resumed; in February 2003, the Laiguangying District (Township) Office was set up; on February 14, 2014, the southern part of the Donghuqu District was separated from it to form Donghu Street. As of June 2020, Laiguangying Township has 24 communities and 5 administrative villages under its jurisdiction.
As of the end of 2019, Laiguangying Township had a household population of 71,039, 45 industrial enterprises, including 5 industrial enterprises above the scale, and 53 general stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
