Wangjing Street, a street under the jurisdiction of Chaoyang District, Beijing, is located in the northeast of Chaoyang District, between longitude 116°26′08″~116°29′08″E and latitude 39°57′48″~40°00′10″N. It borders with Jiuxianqiao Street and Jiangtai Township from Airport Expressway in the east, and is bounded by Sun Palace Township from the North Fourth Ring Road in the south. It is bordered by Jiuxianqiao Street and Jiangtai Township from Airport Expressway in the east, bounded by Yanggong Township from North Fourth Ring Road in the south, Laiguangying Township and Datun Street from Beijing-Chengdu Expressway in the west, and neighboring Donghu Street and Cuiguozhuang Township from Huguang North Street and Hongtai West Street in the north. The maximum distance between the east and west of the area is 4.2 kilometers, and the maximum distance between the north and south is 3.5 kilometers, with a total area of 10.4 square kilometers.
Wangjing area was originally a vegetable field in Laiguangying Township. In June 1949, it belonged to the 17th district of the northern suburb of Beiping City, and in August 1950, it belonged to the 14th district of the northern suburb, and in June 1953, it belonged to Laiguangying Township (commonly known as Xiaoxiang), and in August 1956, the Heping Society (Laiguangying), Wushisha (Wulie), Baji Society (Datun), and Guangming Society (Yungang), the four high-level agricultural cooperatives, were merged to form the Heping People's Commune, to which the Wangjing area belonged. In February 1983, Laiguangying Township was restored, and Wangjing District came under it; in the 1990s, large-scale construction began in Wangjing District; in June 2000, Wangjing Street was established.
As of June 2020, Wangjing Street has 23 communities under its jurisdiction.In 2011, the total population of Wangjing Street was 168,167.At the end of 2011, Wangjing Street had 110 commercial outlets and 24 large shopping centers and markets. The total financial income was 130 million Yuan, an increase of 21.4 million Yuan over the previous year. Completed sales tax of 120,000 yuan, an increase of 1.2% over the previous year.
