Changdang Town, belonging to Sheyang County, Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province, is located in the southwestern part of Sheyang County, bordering Xingqiao and Panwan 2 towns in the east, Qingdun Town, Tinghu District in the south, Shanggang Town, Jianhu County in the west, and bordering Huangsha Harbor and Xinsheng Town in the north, 32 km away from the People's Government of Sheyang County, with a total regional area of 95.91 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, Changdang Town has a household population of 43,840.
In the late Qing Dynasty, it was part of the 14th District of Yancheng County; in 2000, it was changed from Changdang Township to Changdang Town. As of June 2020, Changdang Town has 4 communities and 10 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the town's people's government is located at No. 26, Fuqian Road, Changdang Street.
