Heide Town, belonging to Sheyang County, Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province, is located in the central part of Sheyang County, neighboring Haitong and Huangshagang towns in the east, Xingqiao and Xinlang towns and the provincial Xinyang Farm in the south, adjoining Haihe Town in the west, and bordering Qianqiu and Siming towns in the north, with a total regional area of 203.67 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, the registered population of Heide Town was 187,812.
During the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Funing County; in October 1946, the 4 towns of Xingbei, Qiaobei, Qiaonan, and Xingnan merged to form Heide Town. As of June 2020, Heide Town has 22 communities and 23 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the town's people's government is located at the intersection of Happiness Avenue and Airport Road.
