Liqiao Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Shunyi District, Beijing, is located between longitude 116°36′30″~116°46′14″ East and latitude 40°00′26″~40°05′03″ North. It is located in the south of Shunyi District, east of Chaobai River and Li Sui Town, south of Songzhuang Town, Tongzhou District, west of Tianzhu District, north of Renhe District border. The town area is 75 square kilometers. In the early years of the Republic of China, Liqiao area belongs to the fourth district of Shunyi County. 1949 April, the area east of the railroad belongs to the fifth district of Shunyi County, and part of the villages west of the railroad belongs to the tenth district of Shunyi County. 1956 August, the district was abolished to set up townships and Lijiaqiao was the central township. 1958 August, the township was changed to a commune. 1961, 21 production brigades were set aside, and the Yanyanhe People's Commune was analyzed and set up. 1966, Yanyanhe People's Commune was merged into the Lijiaqiao People's Commune. In the early summer of 1975, Yanhe People's Commune was re-established, and Lijiaqiao People's Commune was reduced to 12 production brigades.In August 1983, the commune was changed to a township.In November 1989, Lijiaqiao Township was changed to Lijiaqiao Township.In April 1998, Yanhe Township was merged into Lijiaqiao Township. As of late 2018, Liqiao Township had a household population of 41,774. As of October 2019, Liqiao Township has 4 communities and 31 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the township government is located in Longtang Road Tou Erying Village. In 2011, the total industrial output value of Liqiao Town reached 7.76 billion yuan, an increase of 44.8% over the previous year, with an industrial added value of 1.1 billion yuan, accounting for 51.1% of the GDP. The total fiscal revenue was 210 million yuan, an increase of 13.9% over the previous year. Of which 180 million yuan of local revenue, an increase of 13.7% over the previous year. From the point of view of the main taxes, the completion of 100 million yuan of sales tax, value-added tax of 6 million yuan, corporate income tax of 12 million yuan, respectively, compared with the previous year, an increase of 7.4%, 17.6%, -25%.
