Introduction
Mapo Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Shunyi District, Beijing, is located between longitude 116°34′57″~116°37′15″ East and latitude 40°09′01″~40°11′39″ North. It is located in the northwestern part of Shunyi District, neighboring Shuangfeng Street to the east across the Xiaozhong River, bordering with Nanfaxin Town to the south, Gao Liying Town to the west, and connecting with Zhaoquanying and Niulanshan Towns to the north. The town area is 12 square kilometers. During the Republic of China (R.O.C.) period, most of the villages in the Mapo area belonged to the first district (Renhe Township). (In April 1949, it belonged to the 11th district of Shunyi County; in April 1950, it belonged to the 1st district; in May 1953, it was established as Mapo Township; in 1958, it belonged to Mapo Management District of Chengguan People's Commune; in January 1970, it was set up as Mapo People's Commune; in August 1983, it was changed from a commune to a township; in April 1998, it was changed from a township to a district office; in November 1999, it was set up as Mapo Township in the district office. Office, Mapo Town was established. As of late 2018, Mapo Township had a household population of 7,683. As of October 2019, Mapo Township has 3 communities and 7 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the township government is located at 15 Shuncheng Street in Mapo Township. In 2011, the total industrial output value of Mapo Town was 4.26 billion yuan, an increase of 34% over the previous year, and the added value of industry was 1.18 billion yuan, accounting for 52% of the GDP. The total fiscal revenue of 760 million yuan, an increase of 22% over the previous year. Of which 250 million yuan of local revenue, an increase of 28.5% over the previous year. From the point of view of the main taxes, the completion of 220 million yuan of sales tax, value-added tax 150 million yuan, 240 million yuan of corporate income tax, personal income tax 0.03 billion yuan, respectively, compared with the previous year, an increase of 1%, 20.8%, 53.4%, -41.3%. Per capita financial income of 37,761 yuan, an increase of 25.7% over the previous year. At the end of the year, five financial enterprises opened branches. The balance of all kinds of deposits was 4.05 billion yuan, an increase of 8.8% over the previous year; per capita savings were 200,000 yuan.
