Houshayu Town, under the jurisdiction of Beijing Shunyi District, is located in the northeastern suburbs of Beijing, southwestern Shunyi District, located in the Chaobai River alluvial plain. East and South Faxin Town, Tianzhu Town border, south across the Wenyu River and Sunhe Township, Chaoyang District, west and Beijijia Town, Changping District, with the old Wenyu River as the border, north and Goryeong Town as neighbors, with a total area of 42.6 square kilometers.
In 1950, it was designated as the first district (Chengguan District), and in 1956, it belonged to the township of Houshayu and Huiminying, and in 1962, it was established as Houshayu People's Commune, and in 1983, it was set up as a township, and in 1994, it was abolished and set up as the township of Houshayu, and in 1998, the township set up Houshayu District Office, which is implemented as "a set of team and two brands". It is the city's high-end expatriate population gathering area, Beijing International Exhibition Center, Beijing Airport Economic Development Zone, Beijing Tianzhu Comprehensive Bonded Zone, etc., all located in the town. As of the end of 2018, the town of Houshayu had a household population of 20,094. As of June 2023, 11 communities and 10 administrative villages are under the jurisdiction of the town of Desayu, and the town government is located at No. 39, Shuangyu Street, Desayu Town.
In 2011, the total industrial output value of the town of Desayu reached 730 million yuan, an increase of 1.3% over the previous year, and the added value of industry was 160 million yuan, accounting for 17.9% of the GDP. The total fiscal revenue of 630 million yuan, an increase of 11% over the previous year. Of which 230 million yuan of local revenue, an increase of 2% over the previous year. From the point of view of the main taxes, the completion of 260 million yuan of sales tax, value-added tax of 0.07 billion yuan, 0.08 billion yuan of corporate income tax, personal income tax of 0.07 billion yuan, respectively, compared with the previous year's growth of -6%, 34%, -7%, 133%.
