Lisui Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Shunyi District, Beijing, is located between longitude 116°43′31″~116°48′21″ East and latitude 40°01′40″~40°07′37″ North. It is located in the southeast of Shunyi District, bordering Yangzhen District and Beibu Town in the east, Yanjiao Town in Sanhe City of Hebei Province in the south, Renhe District and Liqiao Town in the west by the Chaobai River, and connected with Nancai Town in the north. The town area is 40 square kilometers.
Pre-Republican Li Sui area belongs to the second district of Shunyi County. After the seventeenth year of the Republic of China (1928), belongs to the third district of Shunyi County. During the Liberation War, it was the seventh district of Shunyi County. After the liberation of Shunyi, it belonged to the seventh and fourth districts.In April 1950, it belonged to the sixth district.In 1956, the district was abolished and set up as a township, belonging to the two townships of Lisui and Pailou.In September 1958, the Lisui People's Commune was set up.In August 1983, the commune was changed to a township.In November 1989, the township was changed to a township.In March 1998, Shunyi County was changed to a district, and the township was changed to be part of Shunyi District. As of the end of 2018, Lisui Township had a household population of 21,402. As of October 2019, there are 16 administrative villages under the jurisdiction of Lisui Town, and the town government is located at No. 9, Nansun Road, Lisui Town.
