Sanlitun Street is a street under the jurisdiction of Chaoyang District, Beijing, located in the central and western part of Chaoyang District, between longitude 116°26′15″~116°27′20″E and latitude 39°55′32″~39°56′46″N. It is bordered by Mazidian Street to the east and Chunxiu Road to the west and Dongzhimen Street to the east. East to the North Road of the East Third Ring Road and Mazidian Street border, west to Chunxiu Road, Workers Stadium West Road and Dongcheng District, Dongzhimen Street, south to the Workers Stadium South Road, Baijiazhuang Xili south of the boundary with Chaowai Street and Hujialou Street, respectively, and north to the Landmark River and the Zuojiazhuang Street Office neighboring. The maximum distance between east and west of the area is 1.5 kilometers, the maximum distance between north and south is 2.1 kilometers, with a total area of 2.9 square kilometers.
During the Ming and Qing dynasties, Sanlitun area belonged to Daxing County of Shuntian Prefecture. Before the thirty-fourth year of the Republic of China (1945), it belonged to the eastern suburb of Beiping City.After 1949, it belonged to the 13th, 4th and Dongdan districts of Beijing, Xiaozhuang Street and Liulitun Township of Chaoyang District.In 1957, it was established as the Happy Sanchun Street.In 1959, it was incorporated into the Chaowai Street.In 1976, it was established as the Sanlitun Street Revolutionary Committee.In 1978, it was changed into the Sanlitun Street.
As of June 2020, Sanlitun Street has 7 communities under its jurisdiction.In 2010, Sanlitun Street had a total population of 84,200.In 2011, Sanlitun Street had a total revenue of 1.2 billion yuan, an increase of 72.9% over the previous year.In terms of major taxes, 430 million yuan of business tax was completed, value-added tax was 0.02 billion yuan, and 1.1 billion yuan of corporate income tax was paid.
