Sanmafang Township, a township (district) under the jurisdiction of Chaoyang District, Beijing, is located in the eastern part of Chaoyang District, between longitude 116°32′18″~116°34′48″E and latitude 39°53′15″~39°55′49″N. It is adjacent to Guanzhuang Township in the east and Dugezhuang Township in the south. It is adjacent to Guanzhuang Township in the east, Duguozhuang Township in the south, Gaobeidian Township in the west, and Pingfang Township and Changying Hui Township in the north. The maximum distance between the east and west of the jurisdiction is 3 kilometers, and the maximum distance between the north and south is 4.4 kilometers, with a total area of 8.8 square kilometers.
Before and after 1949, Sanmafang area belongs to Daxing County, Tongxian eighth district. 1958 September, belongs to the Chaoyang District Shuangqiao People's Commune. 1971 May, the establishment of Sanmafang production brigade. 1972, the establishment of the Sanmafang sub-field. 1984 May, the Sanmafang production brigade to change the Sanmafang Township. 2003 March, set up the Sanmafang District Office, and the implementation of the Sanmafang Township "one set of people, two brands".
As of June 2020, Sanmafang Township has 15 communities and 11 administrative villages under its jurisdiction. As of the end of 2018, Sanmafang Township had a household population of 66,557.In 2011, total social commodity sales in Sanmafang Township amounted to 2.76 billion yuan, a decrease of 3.8% from the previous year. The turnover of urban and rural commodity trading market was 0.6 billion yuan, an increase of 10% over the previous year. The total financial income of 130 million yuan, an increase of 36.5% over the previous year. From the point of view of each major tax, the completion of business tax of 0.07 billion yuan, value-added tax of 0.01 billion yuan, corporate income tax of 0.01 billion yuan, respectively, 46.9%, 14%, 21.1% over the previous year.
