Jinzhan Township, a township under the jurisdiction of Beijing's Chaoyang District, lies between longitude 116°31′26″~116°38′21″E and latitude 39°56′03″~40°01′32″N, in the northeastern part of Chaoyang District, bounded on the east and north by Tianzhu Township in Shunyi District and Songzhuang Township in Tongzhou District by the Wenyu River, and bordered on the south by Changying Huizu Township, on the west by Dongba Township and Cuiguozhuang Township, and on the north by Sunhe Township; the area has a maximum distance of 10 kilometers, the maximum distance between east and west, north and south 9.3 kilometers, a total area of 50.0 square kilometers, is the largest township in Chaoyang District.
In June 1953, Jinzhan Township was established; in September 1957, it was changed to Jinzhan Production Brigade; in April 1983, Jinzhan Township was restored; in May 2004, Louzizhuang Township was merged into Jinzhan Township; and in the same year, Jinzhan Township (District) Office was established. As of June 2020, Jinzhan Township has 6 resident committees and 13 administrative villages under its jurisdiction.
As of the end of 2019, Jinzhan Township had a household population of 28,948, 123 industrial enterprises, including 16 industrial enterprises above the scale, 50 general stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters, and a total annual financial income of 1.51 billion yuan.
