Jiangtai Township, a township under the jurisdiction of Chaoyang District, Beijing, is located in the north-central part of Chaoyang District, between longitude 116°27′44″~116°31′56″E and latitude 39°57′10″~39°59′44″N. It is close to Dongba Township in the east and Mazidian Street in the south, Wangjing Street and Sun Palace Township in the west, and Cuigezhuang Township in the north. The area of the township is 11.45 square kilometers.
In 1947, it successively belonged to the first and eighth districts of suburban Beiping.In 1958, it belonged to Chaoyang People's Commune.In 1983, the commune was changed to a township.In August 1993, it was set up as Jiangtai District Office. As of the end of 2019, Jiangtai Township had a household population of 28,114. As of June 2020, Zhaotai Township has 9 communities and 2 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, with the township government located in House A1, Jiuxianqiao Village.
In 2011, the total industrial output value of Jiangtai Township reached 8.72 billion yuan. The total fiscal revenue was 1.89 billion yuan, of which 450 million yuan in sales tax, 430 million yuan in value-added tax, 420 million yuan in corporate income tax, and 370 million yuan in personal income tax were completed.In 2019, Zhaotai Township has 19 industrial enterprises, of which 5 are above scale, and 8 general stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters or more.
