Datun Street, a street under the jurisdiction of Chaoyang District, Beijing, is located in the northwestern part of Chaoyang District, between longitude 116°23′38″~116°26′26″E and latitude 39°59′14″~40°01′10″N. It is bordered by Laiguangying Township (area) in the east and Wangjing Street in the south. It is bordered by Laiguangying Township (area) and Wangjing Street in the east, bounded by Asian Games Village Street, Xiaoguan Street and Sun Palace Township (area) in the south, and connected with Olympic Village Street in the west and north. The maximum distance between the east and west of the district is 4.1 kilometers, and the maximum distance between the north and south is 3.8 kilometers, with a total area of 10 square kilometers.
In June 1953, 9 administrative villages in Datun area were merged into 4 small townships, namely Datun, Guanzhuang, Yawangmiao and Beiding. in March 1956, the 4 small townships were merged into Datun Township, with 8 brigades under its jurisdiction. in 1958, the Datun area was transferred to Chaoyang District. in 1996, Datun Township had the jurisdiction of 5 administrative villages, namely Datun, Xindian, Guanzhuang, Cao Baili, and Beiding. in July 2005, Datun Street was established.
As of June 2020, there are 15 communities under the jurisdiction of Datun Street.In 2011, the total population of Datun Street was 141,433 people. The total fiscal revenue was RMB 1.1 billion, an increase of 17.6% over the previous year. In terms of each major tax type, business tax amounted to 480 million yuan, value-added tax (VAT) was 0.2 billion yuan, and corporate income tax was 350 million yuan, respectively 12.5%, 11.8% and 7.5% higher than that of the previous year.
