Zalaid Banner, a flag under the jurisdiction of Xing'an League in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the eastern part of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and the northeastern part of Xing'an League, situated in the transition zone from the Daxing'anling Mountains to the Songnen Plain, with a temperate continental monsoon climate, and adjoining seven banners and counties (cities), with a total area of about 11,837 square kilometers. "Zalaid" is a Mongolian word meaning "red-topped aristocrat", so the place was once inhabited by big officials and aristocrats, hence the name. In 2022, Zalaid Banner realized gross domestic product (GDP) of 12.793 billion yuan, an increase of 3.3% year-on-year, with per capita GDP of 41,145 yuan; the ratio of value added of the first, second and third industries was 62:7:31; general public budget revenue was 505 million yuan, an increase of 6.48% year-on-year; investment in fixed assets increased by 10.2% year-on-year; the per capita disposable income of urban and rural residents was 21,162 yuan, an increase of 6.48% year-on-year.
