Guided by the innovation-driven strategy and the "Revitalizing Inner Mongolia through Science and Technology" initiative, the Baotou-Beijing Science and Technology Innovation Base aims to establish the National Technology Innovation Center for Rare Earth New Materials and build "four bases, two hubs, and one high-ground,"and to accelerate the development of a regional economic hub. By fully leveraging Beijing’s resource advantages and building upon Baotou’s industrial foundation, the initiative focuses on four key industrial sectors—new materials, modern energy, modern equipment manufacturing, and agricultural and livestock food products—with an emphasis on high-value-added segments and downstream applications. It aims to create an industrial hub that connects science and technology resources and serves local development.By fostering a dual-city collaborative innovation framework—characterized by “Capital Technology, Baotou Acceleration” and “Off-site Clusters, On-site Bases”—across both locations, the initiative aims to drive industrial upgrading and strengthen the momentum for innovative development.
