The Chilechuan Dairy Development Zone in Hohhot serves as the primary platform for the capital city’s pursuit of high-quality economic development, as well as a key vehicle for building industrial clusters focused on green agricultural and livestock product processing, new materials, and equipment manufacturing.Covering a total area of 21.5 square kilometers, the development zone comprises three distinct areas: the Yili Modern Smart Health Valley, the New Energy Industrial Park, and the Green Food Processing Industrial Park. It boasts multiple national-level designations, including the National Dairy Technology Innovation Center, a National Tourism Science and Technology Demonstration Zone, a National Trade and Service Logistics Hub, a National Key Cold Chain Logistics Base, a National E-commerce Demonstration Base, and a National Pilot Zone for Advanced Manufacturing and Modern Services.

The Chilechuan Dairy Development Zone is located in the western part of the capital city, Hohhot, adjacent to the West Second Ring Road and spanning the West Third Ring Road, connecting directly to the city center. It is currently integrating deeply into the “Hohhot Half-Hour Metropolitan Circle.”As a central city in the Western Development Initiative and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development region, Hohhot actively participates in the national “Belt and Road” initiative and the China-Mongolia-Russia Economic Corridor. It is fully integrating into the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei 2-hour economic circle and leading the Hohhot-Baotou-Ordos-Yulin 1-hour economic circle.

The Chilechuan Dairy Development Zone features a dense network of major transportation arteries and is focused on building a smart urban system that is well-connected both internally and externally. Its “Eight Horizontal and Eight Vertical” main road network has laid the foundation for a fully integrated development pattern across the entire region.In terms of air travel, the zone is 22.5 kilometers from Baita Airport; for rail, it is 17.5 kilometers from Hohhot East Station and 9 kilometers from Hohhot Station; regarding the metro, Line 1 originates at the airport, passes through the High-Speed Rail East Station, and runs directly to the zone’s core station, Health Valley; for road transport, the area is served by the Ring Expressway and multiple national-level highways, including G6, G7, and G5901.
