The Baotou Kundulun Economic and Technological Development Zone is located south of the G6 Expressway, west of the Baogang Group plant, east of the South Ring Road, and north of the Baolan Railway. It is an autonomous region-level key industrial park with a planned area of 110 square kilometers, of which 37 square kilometers have been approved for development by the autonomous region. It has received numerous honors, including “National Demonstration Base for New Industrialization in Steel and Deep Processing,” “National High-Tech Industrialization Base for Steel and Rare Earth Deep Processing,” “National Outstanding Logistics Park,” “Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Green Manufacturing Demonstration Park,” and “Inner Mongolia Key Industrial Park for High-Quality Development.”The developed area of the Economic and Technological Development Zone covers 25.5 square kilometers, with 20 square kilometers of land having been graded.Over the past three years, the Economic and Technological Development Zone has constructed, renovated, or expanded a total of 26 roads spanning 48.5 kilometers. It has coordinated the construction of 30.13 kilometers of pipeline networks for stormwater, sewage, water supply, reclaimed water, and natural gas, while completing 225,000 square meters of pavement along roadways and 374,000 square meters of landscaping.A total of 7,194 mu of land has been acquired and stockpiled, with the “Nine Utilities and One Leveling” infrastructure largely in place, effectively ensuring the implementation of key projects and the normal operations of enterprises within the Economic and Technological Development Zone. At the same time, the Development Zone has prioritized the implementation of rectification measures following ecological and environmental inspections by central and autonomous regional authorities, establishing automatic air quality monitoring stations that have significantly enhanced real-time monitoring capabilities;A solid waste temporary storage facility was completed, with an annual waste residue processing capacity of 85,000 metric tons; a sewage treatment plant was also completed, with a daily treatment capacity of 30,000 metric tons, marking a phased achievement in the effort to build a “waste-free urban area.”
