Albengrad Township, belonging to Zalaid Banner of Xing'an League of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the northwest of Zalaid Banner, adjacent to Bayanzaraga Township in the east, Badarhu Township in the south, Bayan Ulan Sumu in the west, and Xinlin Township in the north. The area of Albengrad Township is 687 square kilometers, and as of the end of 2018, the household population had 18,544 people. At the beginning of liberation, the area of Albengrad Town belonged to Khandahan Nutuk; in 1956, it was divided to build Albengrad Township; on August 18, 1958, Khandahan Nutuk was changed to Albengrad Commune; on October 10, 1989, Albengrad Commune was changed to Albengrad Sumu; on December 17, 1999, Albengrad Sumu was changed to a township; in 2005, Bayanzarlagah Township was merged into Albengrad Township; in 2011, Bayanzaraga Township was divided. As of June 2020, Albengrad Township is under the jurisdiction of 1 neighborhood committee, 11 gacha, and 1 forest living area. In 2017, the number of enterprises in Albengrad Township totaled 18, and the number of people employed in enterprises was 280; in 2018, there were 120 general stores or supermarkets with a business area of 50 square meters or more in Albengrad Township.
