Qibu Town belongs to Zhouning County, Ningde City, Fujian Province, and is located in the eastern part of Zhouning County, bordering Fuan City in the east, Xiancun Town and Makeng Township in the south, Lidun Town and Puyuan Town in the west, and adjoining Shicheng Town in the north. The town covers an area of 117.81 square kilometers.At the end of 2018, Qibu Town had a household population of 19,567.
Qibu Township is named after the Qibu River that flows through its territory.In March 1963, it was reorganized as Qibu District.In August 1966, it was renamed Qibu Commune.In April 1984, it was abolished to build a township and set up as Qibu Township.In 1993, it was abolished to change the township to a township, and was set up as Qibu Township.As of 2020, Qibu Township has a total area of 117.81 square kilometers. As of June 2020, Qibu Town has 20 administrative villages under its jurisdiction.
