Ningde City, commonly known as Mindong, prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Fujian Province, Ⅰ small cities, third-tier cities, is located in Fujian Province, Fujian Province, the northeast wing of the coast, Fujian Mindong, east of the East China Sea, and Taiwan Province across the sea, the west neighboring Nanping City, south of the provincial capital of Fuzhou City, north of Zhejiang Province. The city has a land area of 13,500 square kilometers and a sea area of 44,600 square kilometers, with a natural deep-water port of Sanduao. The terrain is mainly hilly and mountainous, with small plains along the coast, and a mid-subtropical oceanic monsoon climate. Ningde City is a leisure vacation and ecotourism destination on the southeast coast of China, with one World Geopark, two 5A-level scenic spots, three national scenic spots and seven provincial scenic spots within its borders. There are two national forest parks, four provincial forest parks, one national wetland park, two provincial nature reserves, and nine municipal nature reserves. on September 1, 2014, Ningde City was awarded the title of "National Garden City". On November 15, 2019, Ningde City was awarded the title of "National Forest City".
In 2023, Ningde City will realize a GDP of 380.733 billion yuan, an increase of 8.6% over the previous year at comparable prices.
