Shouning County, part of Ningde City, Fujian Province, is located in northeastern Fujian Province and northeastern Ningde City, between latitude 27°11′~27°41′ north and longitude 119°14′~119°44′ east. Shouning County is warm and humid, with no scorching heat in summer and no severe cold in winter, and is known as a cool summer resort in Fujian, with a total area totaling 1,432.97 square kilometers. As of October 2022, it has 8 towns, 6 townships and 205 administrative villages (communities) under its jurisdiction, with the county people's government residing in Aoyang Town. As of the end of 2022, Shouning County had a resident population of 174,000 people.

In 2022, Shouning County realized a GDP of 11.142 billion yuan, an increase of 4.5% over the previous year, and in December 2023, it was awarded the certificate and label of "World Longevity Township".
