Xietan Town, belonging to Shouning County, Ningde City, Fujian Province, is located in the southern part of Shouning County, bordering Zhuguanglang Township in the east, Wuchu Township and Fengyang Township in the south, Pingxi Township in the west, Qinyang Township in the northwest, and Qingyuan Township in the north, the town's people's government is 38 km away from the county town of Shouning, with a total regional area of 120.97 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, the registered population of Shantan Town was 20,299. Before the establishment of the county, it belonged to Fuan and Zhenghe counties; in September 1984, the society was changed to a township (town), and the town of Xietan was set up.
